Compared with WG-208, WG-208A is updated gauge, with more function.  The main sector gauge has two separated pointers. It made it possible for inspectors to meaure the Excess weld metal on the left and on the right without turning around. It is also for left-handed inspectors. At the back of gauge, there pointer can measure the fillet and on the other end, it acts as taper gauge, measuring the welding gap.  This is another important improvement for the gauge.
